CAPTURE

Tap the + button to write an idea. An idea fits in 280 characters: the constraint is what keeps it sharp.

Add a tag with the Tag button at the bottom. The ✓ saves the note and places it on the top card.

To abandon a note you are writing, pull it down.

SORT

This is the heart of Signes. On a card:

Swipe right to keep.

Swipe left to discard.

Sorting is not filing. It is deciding what deserves to survive.

THE TRASH

A discarded note does not vanish right away. Open the trash at the top right, then swipe again:

Right to restore.

Left to delete permanently.

After each action, a floating message offers Undo.

TAGS

Tap a tag at the bottom of the screen to filter. Select several and only notes carrying all of them appear.

The tag tab lets you rename them, change their colour or delete them: swipe a row left or right.

FIND

The magnifier at the top left searches both text and tags. Tap a result to bring that note back onto the card.

SHARE AN IMAGE

The ⋯ menu on a card, then Share. Pick the ratio (feed, square, story), the typeface and its size, the background and the alignment. The image then goes to the iOS share sheet.

CAROUSEL

An idea too large for a single card? The + button at the top of the writing screen adds a card to the carousel. When sharing, each card becomes one image in the series.

YOUR FILES

With the licence, every note becomes a real Markdown file, stored in Files, on your iPhone, in the Signes folder. You can open it in any editor.

Below a file's ✂ line, write whatever you like: Signes will never touch it. That is where your ideas can grow into long texts.

HANDY GESTURES

Pull a sheet down to close it.

Long-press the stack icon, bottom left, to change the sort order.

Tap the stack tab again to shuffle the cards.
